Our History

Precisely this institution was established in 1948 as a training unit for refresher course under the then Federal Office of Statistics ( which was a merger of FOS and National data bank ); while in 1961 its training activities was extended to other ministries and arastaters and later graduated to a fully fledged school in 1971, awarding middle level statistical officer certificate for a two year programme in Statistics. In 2013 / 2014 Academic session, two other programms namely Computer science and Business Administration and management were introduced. While in 2018 / 2019 academic session, the department of Accountancy for National Diploma was also introduced. Furthermore in 2018/2019 Academic session, the HND (DPP) in Accountancy was as well introduced. In other words the school now runs both ND and HND programmes in Statistics, Computer Science, Business.
